General Notes: Husband - Peter Beighley

He came to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, with his family in 1846. They settled in Lake Township, but his sons soon became tired of clearing away the large timber and prevailed upon their father to allow them to take Greeley's advice "to go West and grow up with the country." Accordingly the family went to Minnesota in 1857.
