General Notes: Husband - James Ross Wynn

He was a native of Pennsylvania, and followed agriculture for many years. He entered the army in 1861 for service in the Civil War, was captured by the Confederates, and endured for some time the horrors of Andersonville prison. When finally paroled and sent to Annapolis, he was taken sick and died there in the hospital.

He was a farmer by occupation, and enlisted and served in the Union army during the Civil War. While he was absent in the service, his wife operated the farm and supported the family.
He was a Whig in politics during his early life, and later became a Republican, while in religious belief he was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church.
