General Notes: Husband - Matthew Watson
He was a native of Ireland, and came with his first wife, a native of Ireland, to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1792. In 1794, he located in what is now Conemaugh township, Indiana County.
He was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, came to the United States about 1793, and located in what is now the northern part of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. In 1800 he located on a farm, later owned by Dr. Thomas Murry, in Conemaugh township, Indiana County, and the ridge upon which this farm was located was called "Watson's Ridge" in honor of him.
In 1855, when venerable with the snows of age, but remarkably active for one who had passed the ninety-second milestone on life's rugged pathway, he was unfortunate enough to have his hip dislocated, and failing to rally from the shock, he passed away.
The source does not make clear which of his children were born to which of his wives.
General Notes: Wife - Unknown
She married in Ireland and died in America shortly after arrival in America.
