He was a graduate of the medical department of the University of Pennsylvania. He was professor of therapeutics, electro therapeutics and clinical medicine in the Ohio Medical University; physician to the Protestant and Hawkes Hospitals, Fellow of American Academy of Medicine, member of the American Medical Association; Ohio State Medical Society and Columbus Academy of Medicine.
