He was a well-to-do farmer, and resided to a ripe old age on the farm acquired by his father.

He first came to Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, settling in the western part of that place, on the West Newton pike, and it was in this locality that he built a home. It was at this place also that his death occurred after having reached the venerable age of ninety years. [ONW, 1029] This source may be combining information about this man and his father.
