Leonard L. Russell
Leonard L. Russell, 71, of Kennerdell RD 1 did at 4:05 p.m. Thursday in the Franklin Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Rockland May 10, 1913, a son of John W. and Caroline Porter Russell.
Mr. Russell, who worked as a farmer, was employed for 33 years as a craneman for Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp. in Oil City prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Rockland United Methodist Church.
Mr. Russell was married Oct. 30, 1948, to the former Margaret Bell who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Mong of Franklin; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Carl Russell of Oil City and Glenn Russell and Arthur Russell, both of Franklin; and three sisters, Margaret Hollingsworth of Philadelphia, Clara Snyder of Franklin and Alice McCreary of Rockland.
Three brothers and four sisters are deceased.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. William Smith, retired minister, officiating.
Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery.

Mrs. Margaret Russell
Mrs. Margaret V. Russell, 64, of Kennerdell RD 1 died at 5:25 a.m. today in the Franklin Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Cranberry June 22, 1920, a daughter of John and Florence Lusher Bell.
Mrs. Russell was a member of the Rockland United Methodist Church.
She was married Oct. 30, 1948, to Leonard L. Russell who died Jan. 10, 1985.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Mong of Franklin; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Norman Bell of Cranberry and John Bell of Warren, Ohio; and five sisters, Ruth Amore of Oil City, Dorothy Seyler of Van, Alice Kuhns and Dora Meehan, both of Franklin, and Lottie Stormer of Warren, Ohio.
Her parents, four sisters and one brother are deceased.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Reaugh, pastor of the Rockland United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery.
