General Notes: Husband - John H. Beegle


He was born at the old Beegle home in Pleasant Valley, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and during his youth learned the work of the farm. He later learned the trade of blacksmith and carriage maker, and upon completing his apprenticeship, opened a small blacksmith shop and carriage shop at Pleasant Valley, which he operated for many years with much success. He later lived in retirement there.
He and his wife attended the Lutheran church, and he was a staunch Democrat in politics.
