General Notes: Husband - John Work

---

He was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. When he was two years old his father, William Work, moved to Ligonier Valley, Westmoreland County, and three years later to Indiana County. John Work lived with his father until 1825, when he married and purchased a farm on the Little Mahoning creek. He was one of the five brothers who lived on adjoining farms.
