General Notes: Husband - Daniel Williams

He migrated from Caernavon, Wales, to Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, and thence to Green township, Indiana County, where in 1829, he located at Mitchell's mills, or the "Diamond." He was a blacksmith by trade, and pursued this vocation for some years after his settlement in Indiana County. He subseqently purchased a large tract of land at Pine Flat, and connected farming with his trade during his career in that vicinity.
He was an ardent anti-slavery citizen, and did all in his power to encourage the growth of abolitionism.
He served as school director and township examiner for some years, and was instrumental in founding Pine Flat academy.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Waters

She was born in Wales, and came to America on the same ship that bore Mr. Williams.
