General Notes: Husband - John M. Wolfe
Besides his farming activities, he operated a saw mill and in 1875 cut out for himself the timbers of the large barn which he erected on his farm. This structure measured fifty-eight by seventy feet and was one of the model up-to-date buildings of its kind in the community. His house he had already constructed in 1872. He was a very successful farmer and one who always kept the very highest grade of stock. His property was composed of parts of three farms and comprised one hundred and thirty acres altogether. He settled there immediately after his marriage and continued to make it his home until shortly before his death, when he removed to Greensburg. He served his fellow townsmen as tax collector, assessor and as a member of the school board for a number of years. He was a Reformed Lutheran and attended the church of that denomination at Fennelltown, which was situated about one-quarter of a mile from his home.
