General Notes: Husband - Peter Yeager


He was a veteran of the German army, with which he was connected for nine years, serving as an officer in the War of 1812. He landed with his family in New York City from the fatherland on the 26th of October, 1840. The mother of the family died just before landing, and on November 12 of the same year the father brought the children to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was a truck farmer of Chartier Township until his death.
He reared nine children.
