General Notes: Husband - [Father] Watson

He was a native of Ireland, who came to America when a young man, and settled in Penn's Valley, Pennsylvania, about 1765, on a tract of land which he brought into cultivation, and where he made his home, engaged in agricultural pursuits the remainder of his life. He enlisted and fought in the War of Independence. He was a Whig in respect to his political views. He and his family were United Presbyterians in religious attachments.
