General Notes: Husband - Eli Wentling

He was of German ancestry, was a mechanic by trade, but later engaged in the oil business, and in farming on a small scale. He was a frail man, having contracted disease from exposure during service in the Civil War, and he received a small pension from the government for his service. He held membership in the Reformed Church.
