General Notes: Husband - Samuel Truxal
Unity Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA - a farmer
He was born on the "Alexander Young farm," in Hempfield township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and on the death of his father became the owner of the family homestead. For many years he cultivated his ancestral acres, and in 1882 placed the farm in the hands of his son, John S., and moved to South East Greensburg. For ten years thereafter he divided his time during the summer between the town and the farm, but at the end of that time sold the property to his son. He was a Democrat in politics, and for many years was an officer in the First Reformed church.
He owned the farm on which his mother-in-law, Mary Anna (Pifer) Zimmerman, was born and brought up.
