of Holland, he was naturalized in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court held at Philadelphia, the 25th, 26th and 27th days of September, 1740, "having resided the space of seven years and upwards in his Majesty's colonies in America."

He was recorded as a resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, at the time of his naturalization.
