He probably left Paxton, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in 1784 after making the power of attorney. There is no definite record of him after that date. He may be the Andrew who in June, 1789, married Elizabeth [Unk] at Carlisle. In the 1790 census in Washington County, Pennsylvania, an Andrew Bell had 2 males over 16, none under 16, 1 female; and died in Washington County May 29, 1822. The widow moved to Augusta Township, Carroll County, Ohio and later applied for a pension (R719). If these Andrews are the same, it may be that Andrew's migration to Washington County about 1785 led to the migration of his brother, John.
