She was educated in the public schools of Warren, Pennsylvania, and Capen School at Northampton, Massachusetts, and Rye, New York, and graduated from the Woman's Medical of Pennsylvania, at Philadelphia, in 1910. After a year as resident in Woman's Hospital and a service on the Boston Floating Hospital for Babies and Children, Boston, Massachusetts, she entered general practice in Warren. She was a member of the County Medical Society and the American Medical Association.
