The Jacob Wilhelm farm was part of a tract styled "My Name," patented to General William Todd, December 13th, 1787, and was described as situated on Sugar creek, one mile north of "Lycamahaning," (Little Mahoning). Israel Thomas was the next owner and he, in 1822, sold it to William Thomas. Mr. Wilhelm became the proprietor in 1858.
