He and his brother, Michael, came to own the family farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

He was seventy-two years a member, fifty-two years a minister, and forty-one years an elder or bishop in the Church of the Brethren, properly styled the German Baptist, and was one of the most faithful, devoted and honored ministers.

He is buried in the family graveyard, where a monument has been erected by Ulrich's descendants though the efforts of Mary Zug Francis of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The cemetery is located about a mile north of Penryn, Pennsylvania, on what was later the Ronald Roher farm.
