General Notes: Husband - George McCullough Tenan
After marriage they located in Smith township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, then resided in Pittsburgh two years, and from there came to the home farm of Mrs. Tenan.
Politically he was a Democrat, but in 1863 became a worker in the ranks of the Republican party, and served in various township offices. In 1876 he was elected justice of the peace, and in 1892 commenced a fourth term of five years. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Burgettstown.
