General Notes: Husband - Jacob Wolf

He was a German, who followed the occupation of farmer, and was also a justice of the peace. He must have located in Buffalo township, Washington County, as early as 1785 or 1786, as documents of that date are on file bearing his signature. The records of his property, however, show it to have been warranted April 23, 1793, and surveyed eight months later. It was two hundred acres of land, called "Wolf's Grove," situated on Buffalo Creek.
Jacob Wolf was a very eccentric man, and invariably, after performing a marriage ceremony in the capacity of justice of the peace, he would thrust his hands into the pockets of his gown with the interrogatory, "Now, where ish mine dollar?"

He followed farming in Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and was also a justice of the peace. His home was on the road usually taken by travelers, and his house frequently served the purposes of an inn.
