ANN WILSON STOUT
Miss Ann Wilson Stout, born in Ringoes, N.J., Feb. 28, 1829, was the daughter of Robert Nisbot Stout and Elizabeth DeForrest, his wife. Miss Stout died on Tuesday, August 26, 1930, in her sleep, at the age of 101, with the exception of two days.
Her Revolutinary Ancestors were Captain Nathan Stout, a Minute-man, who fought in the Battle of Princeton, and Abraham DeForrest, a foot-soldier in the Militia. Miss Stout remembered her Grandfather DeForrest, who lived to be almost 99 years of age.
Ann Wilson Stout was named for Ann Wilson, daughter of Squire Wilson, who had ten daughters. She spoke of an Aunt Polly Wertz, for whose family Wertsville was named. She also had an aunt in Hopewell, N.J., whom she often visited. She had uncles John Stout, Levi and Zephaniah. Her Grandfather was Nathan Stout.
Grandfather Nathan Stout was a Captain of Minute Men in the Militia.
Ann Wilson Stout became a member of Col. Lowrey Chapter, D.A.R., Flemington, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, April 12, 1930 and was given the National Number of 260,757.
The above was copied from Col. Lowrey Chapter Records of Ann Wilson Stout.
