General Notes: Husband - Frank L. Beatty
He attended district school until fifteen years of age, then went to the Normal in Erie County, PA, until he was twenty-one years, when he embarked in the retail grocery business, at Jamestown, PA, which he sold after three years. He was then a clerk in California for two years, in a grocery store in Nevada County, on the Pacific coast. When twenty-six years of age, he returned to Otter Creek Township, Mercer County, and settled on his father’s farm, which one year later he purchased. He was, in his political views, a Republican and served his township as one of the county commissioners for ten years.
