General Notes: Husband - Capt. Robert Stevenson


He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and belonged to a company commanded by Capt. McConnell, of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; he was also in the War of 1812, as captain of a company; he assisted in the building of "Fort Stevenson" near Sandusky, Ohio, and the fort was named in his honor. He married and moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania, at the close of the Revolutionary War; afterward he moved to near Salem, Columbiana County, Ohio, where he died; he was a member of the Legislature of that State at the time of his death.
