General Notes: Husband - Peter E. Stover
He received his early education in the public schools and then went to work on a farm in Pine Grove township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, where he remained until 1871. At that time he entered the oil business, following the development of the oil fields through Venango, Clarion, and McKean counties, until 1873, when he secured a position at the pumping station of the Sandy Pipe Line, in Gas City, Pennsylvania, which he retained until 1877. He then removed to Turkey City, Clarion County, and entered the employ of the United Pipe Line, remaining there until 1879, in which year he settled in Duke Center, Pennsylvania, and was appointed gauger for the National Transit Company, which position he occupied for thirty-two years, until he was retired by the company on a pension in 1911. Mr. Stover was a Democrat in politics. He was a member of Lodge No. 970 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Duke Center, of which he was past grand, and was also a member of the Knights of the Maccabees in Duke Center. He is an ex-member of the United Workmen of America, also an ex-member of the Knights of Pythias in Duke Center.

She was a member of the church of the Disciples of Christ; she was also a member of Mayflower Hive No. 17, of the Ladies of the Maccabees, of which she was also chaplain; also a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union in Duke Center, Pennsylvania.
