General Notes: Husband - William Morgan

At the age of twenty-five he emigrated to the United States, settling first in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and in 1855 purchasing a farm in Franklin township, Westmoreland County, which was later the home of his son-in-law, J. D. Rubright. It was then in a very unpromising condition, but through the efforts, first of Mr. Morgan and then of Mr. Rubright, it became second to none in the township.
