General Notes: Wife - Edith Thankful Stright

After her graduation from Tidioute High School and Slippery Rock State Normal School, Edith taught in Tidioute, Pennsylvania, Akron, Ohio, Sharon, Pennsylvania, and Jamestown, New York. In Jamestown she taught second grade in the Lillian Dickson Elementary School and the Charles Street School for forty years, retiring in 1956.
She was a member of the Fenton Historical Society, the Jamestown Audubon Society, the Marvin Community House, the Delphian Society, the Jamestown, State and National Retired Teachers Associations and the Daughters of the American Revolution (No. 74,966). She was a member of the Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deaconess.
Among her hobbies was collecting cruetts and antique glass which were exhibited at her home.
