She graduated at Wellesley College in 1907, and was a post-graduate student at the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1910 and 1911; in 1911 she made an investigation of the condi­tions of employment of women in industries for the board of public welfare in Kansas City; in 1912 she was pursuing studies in Ber­lin, Germany.
