General Notes: Husband - Selden Spencer

He came to Southwest township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, about 1833, soon after the emigration of his partner, Jare Benedict. He and Mr. Benedict engaged for years together in the lumber business and were very successful. Mr. Spencer's house was right in the village of Enterprise. Selden Spencer was one of the most prominent men of this part of the county.
