General Notes: Husband - Hugh Wilson
He received from his father, while his father was still living, a liberal endowment in improved and vacant property in and near Washington, Pennsylvania, and hence was not named in his father's will. Subsequently, however, he acquired title to the pioneer house from his youngest brother, James, and was owner for a long period. Hugh was well known as a business man, and he acquired quite a large amount of property in and near the town.
In addition to the property obtained from his father, he purchased of James Marshel, in 1786, the lot on which later stood Morgan & Hargreaves' store. He opened a store on lot 21 before 1795, and was a merchant many years. [CBRWC, 1423]
The three elder brothers [James, Thomas, and John] sold out their interests in the family homestead to their youngest brother, Hugh, and they are supposed to have started for South America, but all trace of them was lost.
General Notes: Wife - Eliza Spencer
She survived her husband many years, dying without issue.
