General Notes: Husband - John S. Frets

---

After receiving an ordinary education in the old subscription schools of his day, in 1836 purchased a farm and for over fifty years he was successfully engaged in that pursuit. In 1887 he retired from active business and removed to Scottdale. He was a republican in his political opinions and a member of the Lutheran church.
