General Notes: Husband - Lewis Snyder

He was born in Germany, and came to America and settled in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with his parents, who died and left him without resources. He was bound out to a cooper who taught him his trade. He later came to Fayette County where he owned a good farm in Tyrone township, operated a cooper's shop and made a specialty of bee culture. He was a German Baptist as were the members of his family.
