After marriage, they settled in the northern part of Canal township, Venango County, PA, on a part of the old Thompson tract of land, located on the west side of the pike. They remained on a part of the same tract of land, but on the east side of the pike, where they made improvements. He filled the office of Justice of the Peace. They had a family of seven children, five sons and two daughters. [HMC 1879, 556]
