General Notes: Husband - William Storey, Sr.
He was born in Ireland and was eight years of age when his parents brought him to the United States. He was reared to maturity in Fairview Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, where his father owned a tract of 400 acres of land. He was a soldier in the War of 1812, and upon his return from the front took up farming, which he followed all his days.
He moved to Butler County, Pennsylvania, about 1800, with his parents, and settled in Fairview township. He served in the War of 1812. He was a Whig in politics.
He was a nephew of Joseph Storey, an associate justice of the United States supreme court.
A James Storey, sheriff of Butler County, and Judge Storey, of Butler County, were relatives of his.
