General Notes: Husband - Matthew Sloan

He bought his farm, adjacent to the family homestead in Allegheny Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, about 1849, and a year later cut the first stick of timber on it. He developed good buildings and an excellent farm as a reward of his industry. [HBC 1883, 447]
