General Notes: Husband - Fred T. Wilkins
He was born in Coal Center, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and at the age of four years came with his parents to the village of California where he attended the local schools, the normal school and also graduated from Duff's Business College, of Pittsburgh. He was engaged as a book-keeper for about four or six years, after which he took charge of his father's business at California. The grocery store which he and his brother operated, was established by their father in 1894, and was located in a large brick block which was erected by their father in 1902.
