General Notes: Husband - James M. Wally
He was a lifelong resi-dent of Perry township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, and always lived on the old homestead, succeeding his father by will and purchasing the interests of the other heirs. He owned seven acres more than the original tract, having bought that land as a valuable addition to the farm, and carried on agricultural pursuits. Besides for some twenty-four years he was employed as a driller and tool dresser in the Pennsylvania oil fields. He also found time to pay attention to public matters, and on numerous oc-casions was elected to township offices, on the Democratic ticket. For five years he served as a justice of the peace, six years as one of the overseers of the poor, and served at least three terms as school director.
