General Notes: Husband - James S. Turner

His father died about the time he was of age and he fell heir to the homestead. He had a fine, comfortable residence and cultivated his farm and raised stock. He was as independent as a farmer can be, both in means and disposition. The latter part his friends and relatives regretted, as they would have rejoiced to see him more frequently at the social and family gatherings.
His afflicted brother, Samuel, Jr., lived with him as did also his younger sister, Mary, who acted as his housekeeper.
