General Notes: Husband - Alexander P. Turner

He was ten years old when his father died and he remained at home until he was twenty-one. He then hired out by the day or month for about seven years. After this he visited his brother Esbon, in Iowa and also went to Wisconsin where he cut cordwood for a couple of months. He then returned home and married. He farmed a place for his mother one year after marriage, and then went on part of his father's old place where he remained. After moving on this place he learned the stone mason trade at which he have work as he had opportunity, while his wife superintended the farm.
