General Notes: Husband - Jacob Shearer
He was born in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and removed with his father in 1815 to Jefferson township, Fayette County. Mr. Shearer was of German stock.
He and his family were all members of the Christian Church.
Mr. Shearer was the possessor of valuable properties, consisting of coal lands, etc. For some years he was a considerable sufferer of physical ills, which he patiently bore.
