General Notes: Husband - Christian Stoner

---

The Stoner family is of Swiss origin, but neither the name of the founder of the family in the United States or the date of his emigration from Switzerland is known. His son, Christian Stoner, accompanied by his wife, Barbara Stoner, came from Bedford County to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1799, and settled in East Huntingdon township where he took title for some three hundred acres of land, and there followed farming all his life. Prior to his death he divided his farm among four of his sons: John, Abram, Jacob and Daniel.
