General Notes: Husband - David Semple

---

He and his wife were natives of County Derry, Ireland. Coming to America, they resided for a number of years in New York, and thence removed to Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, locating near Hegarty's Cross Roads, where he purchased one hundred acres of timber land. He erected a log house, 20 x 30 feet in size, built, a log barn, and cleared about seventy-five acres.
