There were children in the family of a Samuel and Ann Smail, maybe the same family, in Sugar Creek, Venango County, Pennsylvania, in 1880. They were Harriett, born in 1873; Ellmedor, born in 1876; Theressa, born in 1879; and Oliver Ray, listed as a son but obviously not if the birthdate of 1861 is the correct one. Another source states that Samuel had a son, George, and a girl by the name of Lillian.
