General Notes: Husband - Trovillo Jacob Weddell
He was a member of the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, bar. He was also editor of the "Elizabeth Herald" and "Monongahela Times," cashier of the Peoples Bank of Monongahela and a deacon and active worker in the Baptist Church. He died in his ninety-third year.
He was a direct descendant of Peter Weddell, who came into western Pennsylvania with his father, George, in 1757, establishing possibly the first permanent settlement in the colony west of the mountains. Later he served as lieutenant of militia in the 4th Company, 4th Battalion of Westmoreland County during the Revolution.
