General Notes: Husband - Andrew Lyle Russell, M.D.

An alumnus of Westminster College, he received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1895. He had an extensive practice as a general practicioner, and also served as surgeon for a number of coal-producing firms. In addition, Dr. Lyle was a voluminous writer, having produced "The Freighter", a story of the days of the Whiskey Insurrection, and also "Renota, Princess of the Oneidas", "Nadina, the Shawnee" and a series of articles entitled "Stirring Tales of the Old Frontier."
