General Notes: Husband - John Rugh

---

He was born on the family homestead, which descended to him on the death of his father. He and his wife had nine children, of whom only three were still living in 1905.

He was a successful farmer, added considerable to the acreage of his land and was a prominent member of the Lutheran church. He was a republican in politics.
