He became a physician and practiced medicine for sixty-eight years in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania. He was a man of kindly and lovable disposition, gentle in manner, and possessing the affectionate regard of his half-brothers. He lived to be ninety-six years of age, and during his long life voted for twenty-one presidents.
