General Notes: Husband - Henry Beamer
Until his marriage he aided in tilling the home farm. He then opened a general merchandise store at Harrison City, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and for five years he hauled produce by wagon to Pittsburgh, returning with goods for his store. At the end of that time he bought a small farm near Harrison City, which was then his home for over forty years. He was a Democrat, and a member of the Reformed church, in which for many years he served as deacon and elder.
For some years he was a merchant and postmaster in Harrison City, and beginning in 1865 was a farmer one mile north of Harrison, on the old Burger homestead.
