General Notes: Husband - George Snyder

The Snyders are of German lineage, the American ancestor settling in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, where George Snyder was born and grew to manhood.
George Snyder settled in Clarion County at an early day and took up land near Sligo, in Licking Valley. He cleared and improved about four hundred acres, which was but a part of his lands. While he dealt somewhat in lumber, he made farming his principal business.
He married and had four sons and several daughters. To each of his sons he gave one hundred acres of the cultivated homestead.
