The year of his birth is given by the source, but seems questionable. The same source gives 1762 as the year of birth for both his parents, but it seems doubtful that they were both fourteen years old when they became parents. Given when his children were born, one might suppose that Phillip's year of birth was much later - perhaps 1796?
